Bernhard Dolch studied classical
guitar at the University for Music Cologne under Prof. Tadashi
Sasaki. He graduated there with the music pedagogic diploma.
His education continued at the
University for Music in Düsseldorf under Prof. Joaquín Clerch,
where he earned his artistic diploma.
Afterwards, he studied as a soloist
at the Zuid Nederlandse Hogeschool voor Muziek in Maastricht
under Prof. Carlo Marchione and achieved the degree "Master of
Music". There he became intensively devoted to the studies of
historical performance.
He completed his studies by
masterclasses by Eberhard Feltz, who teaches violin and chamber
music, Leo Brouwer, Manuel Barrueco, Costas Cotsiolis, Aniello
Desiderio, Scott Tennant and the specialist for historical
performance Paul O´Dette.
Bernhard Dolch was awarded a Lions
Club scholarship.
As a soloist he gave recitals at
famous concert halls like the Berlin Philharmonie and at
international guitar festivals. He also was involved in
countless first performances and first recordings of
contemporary music.
Since 2007,
he leads a classical guitar class at “Lausitz University”, where
he also give lectures in didactics/methodology and ensemble
conducting.

In addition to it he is Juryman and leads masterclasses.
